BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- A vigil is planned for 20-year-old Nicolas Leslie, who was killed last week in the truck attack in Nice that also took the lives of 83 others.

Students at UC Berkeley heading to class are facing the news that yet another student has died overseas in a terrorist attack.

It's expected to take place Monday afternoon and students are currently working on a speaker list.

FBI agents called UC officials on Sunday to confirm that Leslie was among the dead. He was with 85 other Berkeley students who are there for an entrepreneurship program.

Relatives of other students who are currently studying abroad say they panicked when they heard the news.

"When I heard about it, I was honestly terrified. I thought she might be one of those kids. It is just heartbreaking to know there are families out there who had that same reaction I did but they weren't as lucky as I was to find out my sister is OK," student Mary Rockwood said.

Earlier this month, Berkeley lost 18-year-old Tarishi Jain. The sophomore was killed when a gunman took hostages and opened fire in a Bangladesh cafe.

Students held a vigil for her on campus and now they're planning one for Leslie.

"We'll hold these vigils but it's like, how much more can we have? We want peace for the whole world and it is really sad," student Goka Bere said.

No one from UC Berkeley was available to comment but the chancellor released a statement calling it tragic, devastating news.

The vigil is set for 4:30 p.m. at Sproul Plaza.
