Hoping to make your home a little more welcoming? Meet Alyx! He makes a point of greeting visitors at the door and then soliciting them for petting ASAP.

This 5-year-old male tabby was adopted from us originally in 2013 as a young kitty and now has found himself back at Marin Humane. There is one thing for sure about Alyx and that is his love for people is equal to his distaste for dogs and other cats. So, only single-cat-households need apply. Despite the excellent room service at the shelter and constant attention from his wonderful Pet Pal friends, Alyx wants to be in his own home. Who could blame him?

Alyx's ideal new home is with a cat fan or family who is pretty cat savvy and knows a thing or two about feline preferences. He'll get comfortable with you in no time and your love affair will begin.

His white face and pink nose are a risk for skin issues from sun exposure, so keeping him indoors will be best for his health and safety.

If your love for cats is a deep-rooted one, this charismatic cat offers you years of love and affectionate companionship.
