SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Parishioners of the St. Dominic's Church in San Francisco are in high spirits after an anonymous donor replaced a religious relic that was stolen from the church last year.
The relic is believed to contain a sliver of the cross in which Jesus was crucified. It disappeared last August.
On Thursday the church got a replacement cross that reportedly belonged to a priest at The Vatican.
The cross will be displayed at St. Dominic's Church on Bush Street in a new case that is more secure.
