Black Friday shoppers out in full force in Bay Area
Many Bay Area shoppers are already out at malls Friday morning trying to find the best Black Friday deals.

LIVERMORE, Calif. (KGO) -- Black Friday is well underway at outlets and department stores throughout the Bay Area.

Crowds and sales have been surging all day at the San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore. Devoted shoppers have been showing up, even standing in line for hours for a holiday bargain.

Izamar Perez came to her favorite shop for two things.

"I want to get something for my mom's birthday, that's coming up, and for Christmas," said Perez.

Others woke up at 3 a.m., they waited in long lines for coffee, then stood in more lines to just to get into several popular designer stores.

"It was always a long waiting time in front of the shops, but it paid off definitely," said Tanja Brachmann, Austrian tourist.

A few European shoppers say the bargains are fantastic. "It's insane. In Australia we have Boxing Day sales, and it's nothing like this," one shopper said.

The outlets in Livermore opened at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving just to give people a head start. A lot of the stores are offering 30 percent discounts and some 2 for 1 specials.
