ABC7, Disney donates $15K to Redwood Empire Food Bank

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KGO) -- All this month, ABC7 News is highlighting the efforts of Bay Area food banks. And we're encouraging you to give Where You Live for our annual Thanksgiving food drive.

On Thursday, ABC7's Spencer Christian was in Santa Rosa at Redwood Empire Food Bank. He presented a check for $15,000 to executive director David Goodman, on behalf of ABC7 and our parent company Disney.

"First of all, thank you very much, Goodman said. "It is a tremendous, generous gift. However, it is just the beginning. We reach 82,000 people every single month here. We are new to the season, the holiday season, so we have a long way to go."
