ABC7, Disney donates $15K to Second Harvest Food Bank

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- This month, ABC7 News is highlighting how Bay Area food banks are helping communities in need. You can give #WhereYouLive with this year's ABC7 Thanksgiving food drive!

ABC7 weather forecaster Spencer Christian was at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties on Thursday, and presented a check for $15,000 on behalf of ABC7 and our parent company Disney.

"We really rely on generous donations like this one to be able to feed hungry families during the holiday season and all year long," said Tami Cardenas, vice president of development at Second Harvest Food Bank. "We really appreciate it. You're helping us to feed 1 in 10 people here in Santa Clara County and San Mateo County every single month."
