Batkid documentary to be released this summer

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A documentary about the boy who saved the Bay Area while stealing the hearts of millions world wide is coming to the big screen on June 26.

"Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard Around the World" tells Miles Scott's story from his diagnosis of lymphoblastic leukemia at 18 months old, through his cancer remission which took place at age five in 2013.

And that's when Make A Wish Greater Bay Area transformed San Francisco into Gotham City, granting Miles' request to be his favorite superhero for the day.
