When a 6.0 earthquake ripped through the North Bay at 3:20AM on Sunday morning, August 24th, the cities of Napa, American Canyon, and Vallejo suffered severe damage and aftershocks. Sadly, one life was lost.
This special episode of "Beyond the Headlines" will take an in depth look at the continuing recovery process after that devastating earthquake, known by the US Geological Survey as the South Napa Quake. We'll hear from the mayors of both Napa and Vallejo, and learn how Napa Valley tourism is recovering and supporting the local community efforts. ABC7 Consumer Reporter, 7 On Your Side's Michael Finney will also join the show to talk about the realities of quake insurance and the dangers of contractor scams during these vulnerable times of recovery.
