Baltimore Ravens running back Terrance West is suing a South Florida hotel group where he claims he was robbed twice on the same day in late February.
West is seeking $53,129 in damages from Metropole South Beach Hotel and an employee.
In a suit filed Wednesday against South Beach Group Hotels, West said an employee allowed two women, whom West had met earlier there, access to his hotel room by making a copy of his room key and providing a bellman as an escort. The women stole two Rolex watches, according to the suit.
West said he filed a police report after discovering the threat. An hour later, West said an unidentified man knocked on his door, forced his way into the room and threatened him and his friend.
According to the suit, West complied to the demands of the assailant -- which included $5,000 in cash, Louboutin shoes and other items in the suite -- because he feared for his life.
West, 25, is a backup running back for the Ravens and played for three teams in his first two NFL seasons. He was drafted in the third round by the Cleveland Browns in 2014 before being traded to the Tennessee Titans at the start of the 2015 season.
After West was released by the Titans in November, Baltimore signed him after losing Justin Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro to season-ending injuries. West ran for 231 yards for the Ravens and Titans last season.
