BART riders seek alternate forms of transportation to avoid delays
A broken track on BART early Wednesday meant only one train line was unaffected, the Pittsburg-Bay Point line to San Francisco International Airport, and that sent riders searching for alternate forms of transportation.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A broken track on BART early Wednesday meant only one train line was unaffected Wednesday, the Pittsburg-Bay Point line to San Francisco International Airport.

A lot of people were using alternative forms of transportation to get home that afternoon and that included ferries and buses.

Frustrated BART riders gathered at the Transbay Terminal in search of a way home. AC Transit was honoring tickets from BART riders up until 4 p.m. Many riders were confused, having never rode the bus before. Officials were on hand to help riders navigate the buses.

Some commuters were angered by the delays.

"It's delayed coming here, it's delayed coming out," said commuter Eric Gnadek. "BART was real fun today."

Giants fans who attended an early afternoon game at AT&T Park also showed up to the Transbay Terminal, opting to take a bus instead of BART.
