Car bursts into flames in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland firefighters responded to a call of a car on fire on I-880 near Hegenberger Road in Oakland about 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Firefighters say the driver was out of the car when they arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. The driver was not injured. He reportedly tried to use a blanket to put out the fire without success.
