SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Contract talks between Muni and its workers have broken off. Both sides have been in negotiations since February, but haven't been able to reach a deal over a pay increase and pension contributions.
Last week, drivers held a three day sickout which crippled public transit in San Francisco. Muni says union leaders broke off talks with an arbitrator Wednesday night.
Muni has sent a letter warning the union that if it doesn't return to the bargaining table and reach a deal by the end of the month, the current contract will stay in place for a year.
