Crews contain brush fire along I-580 in Altamont Pass area

Crews have contained a brush fire that burned along Interstate 580 near the Altamont Pass area in Alameda County Sunday afternoon.

Officials say the fire burned 75 acres along I-580 and Mountain House Parkway, between Livermore and Tracy.

The fire broke out at 2:19 p.m. in the vicinity of Interstate 580 and the North Flynn Road off-ramp.

An accident involving at least three cars was reported on eastbound I-580 near Grant Line Road.

Officials say no injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
