SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Traffic backups are expected this week along San Francisco's Van Ness Avenue, where crews will install a pedestrian tunnel for the new California Pacific Medical Center.
Starting Monday, Van Ness from Post to Ellis streets will be down to one lane in each direction overnight. Then early Friday, it will be completely shut down through next Sunday night.
The tunnel under Van Ness will connect the new hospital to the medical office building.
