A thrill seeker in an inflatable bubble who was attempting to run on water from Florida to Bermuda had to be plucked out of the water by the Coast Guard.
Reza Baluchi, 42, was in contraption called a hydropod.
The Coast Guard tried to get him to end his 1,000 mile odyssey, saying it was too dangerous. But he refused to stop, even asking the Coast Guard for directions.
"If you run into trouble, there's no guarantee that we're going to be able to get to you in time or even find you," said a Coast Guard official.
Baluchi answered, "Okay, I'm continuing to go."
He continued walking on water for another three days until he eventually triggered two emergency distress signals off the coast of St. Augustine.
A swimmer reached the vessel and pulled Baluchi out.
The case is fueling debate over whether thrill seekers should pay for such rescues themselves
Regardless, Baluchi tells ABC News he plans to get right back out there and try the journey all over again.
