FRESNO, Calif. -- The sweet sound of rain. July has brought a summer storm along with it.
Lightning strikes throughout Fresno including a huge bolt caught on our Downtown Fresno Skycam. This bolt struck the ground and hit a transformer on Van Ness and Divisadero causing power in the area to go out.
A PG&E information officer tweeted that 1,500 customers were without power due to the storm and 41 different outages. PG&E says they are working to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.
Many areas throughout the Valley are experiencing rain -- and thunder and lightning.
