'General Hospital' receives 28 nominations for Daytime Emmys

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KGO) -- A staple of ABCs daytime lineup leads the pack in the 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

"General Hospital" received 28 nominations Tuesday, including lead actor, actress and best drama.

"Live with Kelly and Michael" is nominated for top entertainment talk show and Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan themselves are nominated for best hosting honors.

The winners will be announced next month in Los Angeles.
