Electronic books are more popular than ever and that means more parents are turning to digital readers for story time. But experts say that might not be a good thing.

The importance of story time is the one-on-one interaction between parent and child. Child development experts worry story time is becoming more like playtime.

They say e-books with interactive games are preventing children from focusing and learning from the story.

The American Academy of Pediatrics says parents should read paperback or hardcover books to their children from birth. They suggest absolutely no screen time for children under two and no more than two hours a day for toddlers.
