ANTIOCH, Calif. (KGO) -- An Antioch woman got quite a surprise when she came home to find a dog on her roof.

The little guy was trapped on the roof of a home on Larch Way. A fireman with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District gently tried to put a leash around the pup to get him down. It took a little while, but he finally did. The homeowner says she has no idea how the mysterious pooch got up on to her roof or who the dog belongs to.

"It was possible it could be one of my dogs, because I have a very mischievous dog that gets out from time to time, but when I saw the picture of the dog - I said 'that's not my dog,'" said Felicia Bridges, homeowner.

Bridges says she's glad firefighters were able to get the dog down before he got hurt.
