The Sonoma County coroner's office identified him as Jeffrey Martin Kessler.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Department labeled his death suspicious because there were no witnesses. The sheriff's department was informed at 2:30 a.m. Saturday that Kessler was missing and was last seen 1.5 miles north of Jenner, Lt. Scott Dunn said.
He was found on Russian Gulch Beach at the base of the cliffs and was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's department said.
