Fairfield man arrested for weapons, drugs

A 29-year-old Fairfield man was arrested Friday evening after a rifle and various drugs and paraphernalia were found during a search warrant executed by police.

Daniel Kernick was arrested after the search, which took place at about 8:25 p.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Coolidge Street, according to police.

Detectives discovered a .22 caliber rifle, ammunition, Ecstasy and morphine pills, and narcotic paraphernalia, police said.

Kernick was booked into Solano County Jail for various charges, including felony weapons possession, transportation of narcotics, possession of narcotics and paraphernalia, and committing a felony while out on bail, according to police.
