After starting her family, she attended John F. Kennedy University and graduated with a degree in Clinical Psychology. Upon receiving her license as Psychotherapist (MFT), she started her career working in community mental health settings with a special interest in the mental health issues of Latino Families. For the last twenty plus years she has practiced and supervised in several bay area agencies and currently serves as the Executive Director of Familias Unidas in Richmond.
