A six-ton orca named Tilikum has just gone back in the water for the first time since the incident. The whale killed Brancheau a year ago this month.
Brancheau has ties to Toledo. Her sister works in the area.
Brancheau's mother Marion Loverde said, "That was her dream since she was 9 years old, and she fulfilled her dreams. We're ok with Tilikum being back in the water. If that's what's best for Tilly, that's what Dawn would want."
After Brancheau's death, the theme park is spending tens of millions of dollars on saftey measures to protect their staffers.
