Danika Tyler Garcia was riding her bike when she was hit by a VTA train at Stokes Street near Southwest Expressway on Friday morning.
Friends gathered at the scene of the accident to remember her.
Garcia was a student at Del Mar High School.
Grief counselors are available for students and staff there.
Nobody on board the train was hurt.
