SAN FRANCISCO -- BART is reporting that the Embarcadero station in San Francisco is closed due to a major medical emergency Tuesday night resulting in delays for Daly City-bound trains.

The station at 298 Market St. was closed shortly before 9 p.m., BART officials said.

BART received reports of a person under a train at about 8:55 p.m. though an update on the person's condition was not immediately available.

Passengers have been advised to expect 15- to 20-minute delays for trains heading to Daly City, according to BART officials.
