OAKLAND, Calif. -- BART is recovering after 20-minute systemwide delays this morning because of a power outage that affected the agency's operation control center's computers, a BART spokesman said.

The outage occurred at 10:24 a.m. and no safety problem existed, BART spokesman Taylor Huckaby said.

The computers usually operate the trains, which went under manual control until power was restored and the computers were reset.

The trains are going back under automatic control, Huckaby said.
