Person hit by BART train in San Leandro taken to hospital

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (KGO) -- The Bay Fair station in San Leandro was shut down around 4 PM for about an hour. BART says someone was accidentally hit by a train there.

BART is not providing details.

The victim is now at the hospital.

Passengers can expect backups in all directions as BART works to restore service to its normal schedule.
