SAN FRANCISCO -- A San Francisco road is finally back open on Sunday night after a major water main break. All southbound lanes of San Jose Avenue were shut down much of the day.

The flooding started just before 9 a.m. near Randall Street in the Glen Park neighborhood.

Some Muni tracks were also underwater, but service was restored Sunday afternoon.

The leak has been traced to a water sub-station in the Mission District.
