Discarded handcuff key, restraints found in Palo Alto escaped inmate investigation
Authorities are searching for two inmates who escaped from the courthouse in Palo Alto this morning. The men are considered dangerous and escaped in an "orchestrated event."

PALO ALTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Authorities are searching for two inmates who escaped from the courthouse in Palo Alto around 9:30 a.m.



Tramel McClough, 47, is one of the inmates; he is an African American with brown eyes, black hair, 6'4" and 285 pounds. The other inmate is 47-year-old John Bivins, an African American, 5'9", 180 pounds.

Authorities held a news conference to provide an update on the search for two inmates who escaped the Palo Alto courthouse this morning.


Authorities say it was an orchestrated event that involved getaway vehicle(s). Officials said there is no immediate threat to the courthouse.



The men were last seen in their jail jumpsuits.



The men are considered dangerous, and police are asking the public to not approach or attempt to apprehend them.
