REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- Hundreds of Dreamworks Animation employees on the Peninsula are losing their jobs.
The company plans to close the Pacific Data Images studio in Redwood City. According to the LA Times, half of the facility's 450 workers will be offered jobs at its main campus in Glendale, near Los Angeles. The other half will lose their jobs.
The animation studio says the cuts are part of a reorganization effort aimed at saving money.
