SAN JOSE, Calif. -- People with season tickets to sports teams expect to be able to choose their own seats, but the San Jose Earthquakes are letting their fans do some dirty work.

Season ticket holder Debbie Freeman helped install her own seats this morning, the very first seats to go in to the new stadium.

Freeman, who's had season tickets since 2010, says she was surprised when the team asked her to help.

Team officials and Earthquakes defender Carence Goodson were there to help Debbie get used to the elbow room she'll have.

The new stadium, near Mineta San Jose Airport, opens next year.
