PORTLAND, Ore. (KGO) -- Everyone's getting in the Halloween spirit this weekend, including elephants at the Oregon Zoo.

Young Lili and her family had fun smashing thousand pound pumpkins.

But Lili really got into it, rolling around in the gourd's mushy remains.

The event helps raise awareness for deforestation-free candy.

Companies like Mars and Nestle have agreed not to use palm oil, which is harvested in biologically diverse areas.
