Lady Gaga stars in California drought PSA

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KGO) -- Pop star Lady Gaga starred in a PSA released this week asking people to save water.

Gaga said she learned about the severe drought in California while shooting a music video at Hearst Castle.

The Save Our Water campaign released the video along with a fashion tip for people's lawns -- brown is the new green.

"Lady Gaga deserves applause for California drought Save Our Water ad," Governor Jerry Brown tweeted.
