New show called 'Of Kings and Prophets' to premiere on ABC7

A new television show called 'Of Kings and Prophets' based on the biblical books of Samuel will premiere tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC7.

The series "Of Kings and Prophets" follows Saul and David, the successive kings of Israel, their families, and their political rivals.

ABC7 News Anchor Reggie Aqui spoke with actors Ray Winstone and Olly Rix who play King Saul and David.

Winstone describes how his character's personality was difficult to portray. "He was on the borders of bipolar is what I could work out and manic depression and the violence rages, but also underneath it all was a great man and a great king, so it was a complicated character to play," Winstone said.
