SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KGO) -- The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is getting a major $12 million makeover and adding new jobs.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports construction crews will get to work in the next couple of weeks, starting with the entrance.
Work will take 10 months and will create more than 200 jobs at the boardwalk.
The Sentinel obtained a conceptual drawing of the new design.
The popular "Lazer Maze" will also undergo exterior improvements.
