1 dead, another wounded in 2 separate Oakland shootings

OAKLAND, Calif. -- One man was killed and another was wounded Friday after two separate shootings in Oakland, police said.



At 9:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of 11th Street, according to police.



There officers found a male victim with several gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.



No arrest was made in connection with the shooting and a description of the assailants was not immediately available.



Earlier that evening around 7:50 p.m., officers had responded to a report of a different shooting in the 3700 block of Foothill Boulevard, according to police.



Officers learned one male victim had been shot in the leg. The victim was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, police said.



The suspect was not arrested and a description was not immediately available, according to police.
