Stoneless 'cocktail avocado' could help prevent injury

Odds are, you haven't heard of the cocktail avocado, but it is a thing.

The British retail chain Marks & Spencer introduced the stoneless avocado on their Instagram page. They call it "the avocado you never knew you needed."

They are being promoted as the answer to "avocado hand," the name surgeons in England have given to the injuries people get while pitting an avocado.

There is even an Instagram page devoted to #AvocadoInjury.

As avocados grow increasingly popular, more and more people are apparently cutting themselves.

The California avocado industry has long had a video instructing the correct way to cut one, which is to slice it lengthwise on a hard surface and then split the two sides.
