Former science camp counselor facing possession of child porn to make plea

LOS GATOS, Calif. (KGO) -- A former South Bay science camp counselor accused of molesting young boys is expected to make a plea in court.

Edgar Covarrubias-Padilla, 27, faces charges of possessing 600 images of child porn. He's also charged with sexually abusing grade school boys. In August, the Los Gatos Union School District voted to continue the science camp program after Covarrubias-Padilla's arrest. He volunteered at Walden West Science Camp since 2011.
