SUNNYVALE, Calif. (KGO) -- A Sunnyvale photographer went across California trying to find the best and worst places to go stargazing.
Sriram Murali created an incredible video from the stunning views he captured and uploaded it on Vimeo.
The video shows how the view gets progressively better as you move away from the lights.
In San Jose, the light pollution is such that you can barely even see any stars at all and in Mountain View it's not much better.
Stars can be seen a lot better from the Pigeon Point lighthouse in Pescadero.
In Lassen National Park, it's almost surreal the way the sky looks.
And finally, stargazers can get a stunning look at our universe from the Eureka Dunes in Death Valley.
