Search is on for women to be the next "MacGyver"

The search is on for the new MacGyver, the man known for his engineering wizardry.

The creator of the 1980s series, along with the National Academy of Engineering, will be looking for a woman this time.

Five winners will get $5,000 each and develop a script with a TV producer.

The contest's ultimate goal is to get more girls and women interested in engineering.
