CAL FIRE knocks down small fire on Mount Hamilton

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- Firefighters have knocked down a small fire at the summit of Mount Hamilton near the Lick Observatory. A CAL FIRE spokesperson said 1-2 acres of dry brush burned.

CAL FIRE isn't taking any chances with the dry conditions and called out a water-dropping plane, a helicopter and a number of ground resources to get it under control quickly.
