East Bay resident upset vandals wasted drinking water

FREMONT, Calif. (KGO) -- About 50 million gallons of fresh water flowed out of Alameda Creek and into the San Francisco Bay after vandals damaged an inflatable dam.

The dam spanned across Alameda Creek, holding back rainfall and runoff that is later fed into percolation ponds to recharge groundwater.
