OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A Hawaiian Airlines jet that made an emergency landing in Oakland Monday morning, remains on the ground there.
Flight 37 from San Diego to Maui landed at Oakland International just before 11.
According to the airline, a cockpit light illuminated shortly after takeoff, indicating a possible issue with one of the two engines that's required for long flights over water.
The pilot diverted to Oakland, where Hawaiian Airlines has the resources to handle such an emergency.
