San Francisco's peregrine baby falcons banded, named

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Look up in the sky above San Francisco and you may see birds that almost went extinct.

Two peregrine falcons recently hatched three peregrine falcon chicks atop of PG&E's San Francisco headquarters last month.

The baby birds were named Talon, Grace and Flash from entries submitted to PG&E.

Researcher also banded the young birds. Banding allows researchers to track this species which once was near extinction.
