OMAHA, Neb. (KGO) -- Loud Christmas sweaters are all the rage this holiday season. And it turns out they're not just for people. Animals are getting in on the craze, too!

Authorities found a sheep walking the streets of Omaha all by itself this past weekend while clad in a wool holiday sweater.

Nebraska Humane Society spokeswoman Pam Wiese says someone reclaimed the sheep, named Gage, Tuesday evening.

When he isn't in his owner's house, Gage shares a shed with two chickens.

Weise says the owner doesn't know how the sheep got loose, and learned about his whereabouts from Facebook because of publicity surrounding the animal. She adds that the owner had several photos of Gage to prove he's her pet.

Gage is used to walking on a leash and doesn't seem to mind that the holiday apparel he donned appears to have been designed for a dog.
