Epic selfie taken with Brazil's Christ the Redeemer statue

The owner of a travel company took the ultimate selfie...with Jesus.

A friend of Lee Thompson's managed to convince Brazil's tourist board to let them climb on top of the 124-foot tall Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro during repairs.

"As I popped my head out of the hole in Jesus' crown, I was in total and utter awe as my eyes met with a vast panorama that quite literally took my breath away," Thompson wrote on his blog.

The climb up 12 flights of stairs took about 20 minutes, he wrote.
