Massive Bay Area celebrity Steller sea lion 'Chonkers' is getting his own plushie

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There's now a new way to celebrate the Bay Area's newest celebrity, Chonkers.

The Marine Mammal Center is now selling plushies inspired by the real 2,000-pound Steller sea lion.

Chonkers started going viral after he was spotted visiting San Francisco's Pier 39 multiple times.

You can now pre-order a Chonkers Steller Sea Lion Plush for $24.95.

The Marine Mammal Center says proceeds help support its work protecting Steller sea lions and other marine mammals.
