Nevada man accused of torturing kitten to death in San Francisco arrested in Reno, police say
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A Nevada man charged with abusing a kitten in San Francisco is in police custody in Reno, and there are some alarming new details about his alleged crimes.
The court issued the warrant Monday for 33-year-old William Ohlson of Reno after he failed to appear in court.
Reno police released video on Friday of officers raiding a home to arrest the man.
San Francisco police say Ohlson "violently tortured" a small kitten to death inside an ATM vestibule in the 1800 block of Market Street around 2 a.m. He then fled with the dead animal.
Video shows Ohlson being arrested on July 14 after officers served a search warrant at his hotel on the 100 block of Fell Street.

When police went in to arrest Ohlson, he's accused of leading police on a chase, and fleeing to the roof of an adjacent building before being aprehended.
He's charged with abusing an animal and resisting an arrest, among other things, and was set to be arraigned Monday but did not show up in court.
Now Reno police say he adopted kittens there and then recorded himself killing them.
Both departments are now working together to build a case.
