SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Diners who want a table at one of San Francisco's best restaurants will soon have to pay up front.
Starting in September, Coi will launch a new reservation system in which diners will have to buy a ticket to get a table.
The North Beach restaurant has a fixed price menu. Diners will have to pay anywhere between $145-$195 for a meal at the time they make a reservation.
A similar ticketing system has been used at other very high-end restaurants. The idea is to cut down on no-shows.
