YOUNTVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- Yountville is completely pet-friendly. There is no hotel, no restaurant, no tasting room that doesn't welcome our pets in one way or another.
Hospitality Hounds is a heartwarming initiative designed to enhance community spirit through the joy of dogs.
Cynthia Kapjian, Founder, Hospitality Hounds of Yountville, says, "Yountville is famous for its food, its wine, and art as well. And now to make it stand out as a real hospitality destination as well, I think that really sets it apart. And the dogs are just a piece of that."
Yountville is all about the art of the stroll, especially when four-legged friends are encouraged to join!
Noel Resnick, Board Chair, Yountville Chamber of Commerce, says, "The Yountville Art Walk is a walk from one end of town to the other, approximately one mile along our main street of Washington, and there are over 30 sculptures from regional artists, national artists, and international artists. We have it all here."
There's no shortage of pet-friendly hotels in Yountville.
Leandra Villalobos, Director of Sales and Marketing, Bardessono Hotel & Spa, shares that it "is a wellness-focused property. We have tranquil grounds, spa, and wellness-focused spa treatments in the room and in the spa, and we are pet friendly."
She feels that dogs are part of your family, and your family should be traveling with you anywhere you go.
Bardessono offers a Cabernet Canine package as well as a very special menu.
Victor Scarble, Executive Chef, Bardessono Hotel & Spa, has created a BARKessono menu because he knows people love their dogs. "It started initially with making homemade biscuits for dogs, and now we've created a whole menu centered around not only the guests, but the dogs as well."
On Mondays, the Hotel has Yappy Hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where they offer a discount on the Barkessono menu.
